egg onion curry Kerala style
Let's Start:
boiled egg and onion curryIngredients:
2 Tbsp - Oil
1 Tsp - Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
7 - Sliced Green Chilli's
1 Tbsp - Ginger & Garlic Paste
1/4 Cup - Curry Leaves
1 Tsp - Turmeric
2 Cups (250 grams - Baby Onions)
50 grams - Tamarind
1 Cup - Tomato Pieces
2 Tbsp - Chilli powder
1 1/2 - Salt
1/2 Litre - Tamarind Water
6 - Boiled Eggs
1 Tsp - Fried Cumin & Fenugreek Powder
1 Tsp - Garam Masala
1/4 Cup - Coriander Leaves
Curry Preparation :
Now In Another Pan Add 1/2 Cup - oil, 1 Tsp - Cumin Seeds(Jeera) & 7 Sliced Green Chilli's and
Saute for 10 - Seconds
Add 1 Tsp - Ginger & Garlic paste, Saute for 10 - Seconds
Now, Add 1/4 Cup - Curry Leaves & 1 Tsp - Turmeric Powder Saute for 10 - Seconds
Add 2 Cups- Cleaned Baby Onions(Don't Cut into Pieces) & Fry for 5 - Minutes
Now, Add 1 Cup - Tomato Pieces Saute for 2 - Minutes , Add 2 Tbsp - Chilli Powder , 1 1/2 Tbsp -
Salt & Mix Well
Add 1/2 Litre Tamarind water (Only 1 Cup tamarind Soaked in 1/2 Litre water Remove pulp & Add
water) , Cover & Cook for 5 - Minutes Keep Flame in Medium,
Now Add 1 Tsp - Fried Cumin & Fenugreek seeds Powder, Simmer in High Flame For 10 - Minutes.
Add Boiled 6 - Eggs (Make small holes with help of Fork on boiled eggs) , Again Cover & Cook for
10 - Minutes
Add 1 Tsp - Garam Masala, Stir Continuously for 1 - Minute & Add Chopped Coriander Leaves
Turn off Flame
Baby onion egg gravy curry is Ready To Taste
