Ivy gourd (Tindora) is a common vegetable, But you can make Tasty Chutney with it , This ivy gourd chutney recipe is Famous in South India & Also known as Dondakaya Pachadi, This Tasty Chutney is Really suitable for Rice and Roti.

Let's Start Preparation 

INGREDIENTS :

1/4 Cup - Sesame seeds (Thil)
4 Tbsp - Oil
Green Chilli's - 20
1 Tsp - Turmeric Powder
1/2 Kg - Dondakaya (Tindora) (Ivy gourd pieces)
4 - Large Tomato's
1 Cup- Turmeric Juice
3 Tsp - Jeera
Garlic - 7 pieces
3 Tsp - Salt
5 - Dried Chilli's
Curry Leaves

Preparation: ivy gourd chutney recipe


Soak 1 Cup - Tamarind in Water for 1 - Hour

In a Steel Pan Add 1/4 Cup - Sesame seeds & Roast until golden colour & Keep Aside,

Now Add 2 Tbsp - Oil in pan, Add 20 - Green Chilli's & Fry them for 5 - Minutes (Light golden

colour) & Keep Aside

Again Add 1 Tbsp - Oil, Add 1 Tsp - Turmeric powder in oil Saute for 10 - seconds, Now Add

1/2  Kg - Tindora (Ivy Gourd) Pieces & Mix well

Now Cover & Cook For 5 - Minutes in Medium Flame & Add 4 - Chopped Big Tomato's Mix well &

 Cover & Cook for again 5 - Minutes

Now Ivy Gourd(Dondakaya) Fried Well, Keep Aside

Chutney Preparation: In a Blender Add Roasted Sesame Seeds & make Powder , Keep Aside

Now in Blender Add 2 Tbsp - Jeera , Garlic - 7 , 3 Tsp - Salt , Fried Green Chilli's , Soaked Tamarind

 Juice , Add Powdered Sesame seeds , Prepared Ivy gourd Fry & Blend To Paste & Transfer To Bowl.

In small pan Add 1 Tbsp - Oil , 5 - Dried Chilli's , 1 Tbsp - Jeera (Cumin) And Saute for 1 - Minute ,

Now Add Curry Leaves , 4 - Garlic Pieces , 1/2 Tsp - Turmeric Powder & Mix well , Now Add this

to Chutney Bowl & Combine well
